Client accounts in the MSPbots app are connected to the clients' Microsoft Teams accounts. When switching to a new Microsoft account due to changing business needs or after a domain name change, clients can update the domain they use in MS Teams and the MSPbots app, including their mapped tenant ID.
This document outlines the steps to update your domain name and tenant ID from the Domain Name Change page.
How to update the domain used in MSPbots
- Reach out to the Support Team. for access to the Domain Name Change page. They will also set up a temporary email account for your domain change.
- Access the MSPbots app page. Go to Settings > Domain Name Change.

Click Log in with Teams (Old Account). Ensure you are entering the correct login information.
The message Authenticated appears after a successful login.
- Next, click Log in with Teams (New Account).

Click Submit Replacement. If your credentials do not match the domain in the MSPbots app, you will be unable to submit your replacement successfully and will receive the following message:
When this happens, click the Reset button for the Old Tenant ID account, enter the correct credentials, and repeat Steps 3 to 5.

You will need to confirm the update of the tenant ID and log in again. Click Confirm if you agree.
The message Mapping submitted successfully appears. Your new ID will now be mapped to the old one, and you can access the MSPbots app and MS Teams using your new domain name.
What to do after changing your domain
After updating your domain name, do the following steps to ensure the users in MS Teams and MSPbots are synchronized:
- Log in to MSPbots using your temporary email.
- Disable all the users from the previous Microsoft account.
- Authorize MS Teams using the steps provided in MS Teams Integration Setup.
- Assign the Admin role to the newly synced admin users. Refer to the article MSPbots User Management for instructions.
